About Dr. Ford
Craig A. Ford, O.D., F.A.A.O., earned both his Doctor of Optometry and Bachelor of Science degrees from Indiana University. As a student, he completed externships in treatment of ocular disease at both IU and the Public Health Service Hospital in Browning, Montana. He then interned in low vision rehabilitation at the Low Vision Centers of Indiana and the Indiana Universty Indianapolis Eye Care Cinic.
Dr. Ford is certified in Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, and his research has been published in the American Journal of Optometry and Physiological Optics.
He has been honored with a number of awards, including election to the Alpha Lambda Academic Honor Society, the Indiana Optometric Association’s Young Optometrist of the Year Award (1991) and Fellowship Status from the American Academy of Optometry.
In the community, Dr. Ford enjoys his involvement in several organizations, including the United Way Professional Division, the Blackford County Economic Development Corporation and Rotary. He has coached T-Ball and Little League baseball, as well as youth soccer. He holds a private pilot’s license and also enjoys flying Radio Control aircraft.
